Trainz volume

I think I am going deaf ... My Trainz are so quiet that once they move away from right in front of you, they fade away to silence.

How can you turn up the sound, or expand the sound radius of a loco ?

I guess an amplifier speaker system or headphones is the only way to turn up the sound ?

It can be this:

Trainz is 5.1 surround, make sure you have the right settings.

If settings are wrong, half the sound is gone.
