Trainz Turbostar 170 Wipers

Hi There.
It sounds like I bought the same payware item for 2010. With that edition the wipers are suppose to switch on automatically when it rains and then switch off automatically when the rain stops. I would think it was the same for Trainz 2009.
However, I found that the wipers where continuously on whatever the weather and the only solution I could find was to clone the asset, rename it and then delete the wipers from within the config file of the clone.
I now have two versions of the 170, one with wipers and one without. It is not a perfect solution but it does look a bit more realistic in dry weather.
I do not think the problem lies with the asset creature, it's almost certainly a problem in the Trainz software programming.

I have the Turbostar and it works fine in 2009 in compatability mode. There was a patch released for it about a year ago but that related to the lights as I recall.
Have you tried turning on the wipers using the in-cab switch? As wholbr says, they should come on automatically when there is rain.
You could try looking at the texture library in CCP where the wiper should show as being animated in the preview window. If they aren't there, it could indicate a problem with your download. That being the case, I'd e-mail Railwaves. They've always been most helpful for me.

You can now download an update, for earlier versions of the Turbostar pack, which is compatible with Trainz 2010.
The version currently advertised on the Railwaves website is compatible with all versions from 2004 to 2010 (both modes) and does not reqiuire the upgrade.
The wipers can be activated using the switch in the cab. The wipers do not switch on automatically in wet weather.
