Trainz newbie question

I just purchased "Trainz The Complete Collection" brand new sealed in the box for PC and it will not boot up. My computer doesn't even recognize that the cd is even in the drive. I tried all three cds that came with the game but they also don't work. Rebooting doesn't solve it either. Help!

They wouldn't be DVD's would they ?? If so have you a DVD drive in your setup ?

Yes I have that too, and they are dvds

Have you got a spare DVD drive, Try that if possible. Believe it or not, there are cd's and DVD's out there that will not work in certain drives. I see it rather often in the IT field I work in. At worst if you don't have a spare drive, see if a friend can test them for you to se if that is the issue.

Well I tried the discs at work in a known DVD drive and they work. So I guess I'll have to purchase an external DVD drive because my setup only has a CD drive.
