I too agree with you. When I look at some of the older memes those where good ones, it's the recent ones that are beginning to become unfunny.
Could be worse... people could be photo-shopping their faces into movie scenes, say like "Saving Private Ryan", and posting them here...

Bit like the whole meme culture in general, funny a few years back but mostly crud now. Although I think this threads purpose has turned into a general crud thread. Every forum genuinely needs one of these though, otherwise it just lets these things build up on other threads.
Although I wonder if I'm finding the internet not to be as funny as I used to because when you hit your early 20s onwards, you effectively turn into a miserable sod.
Now time to be a complete hypocrite.
