Looking at the numbers on the bottom of the main Forum Page today, there are now 449,800 members.
On June 6, 2011, I posted in a thread that at that time there were 441,250 members.
So, in 40 days, the Trainz world has added 8,550 new members.
No doubt, the recent sale on products by N3V motivated people worldwide to purchase and register their Trainz purchase.
N3V must be doing something right to gain that many new users in a short time for a niche game product.
Also, the new content, both freeware and payware may be stimulating these sales. Thanks to all content creators for their work.
JointedRail must be mentioned for their high quality American rail content.
It is good to see this activity in sales for N3V. Hopefully, the revenue will help sustain the Trainz series, for the benefit of all users.
I wonder if other train sims/games (do to a rare touch of sanity I will not put any name here) are seeing this volume of activity in their sales.
Even with this increase in new members, the DLS servers seem to be able to handle the downloads without any issues.
Please,... I respectfully ask that we not turn this post into a debate about other rail sims, there are plenty of threads that will handle the debate.
Great work N3V.
Regards,
Ron
