Trainz hang after video window of Herlem line

Rosky

Ghost Train driver
When I ran the Harlem line, Trainz hangs.
This happens when I try to close the presentation (video train Harlem).
I have a Pentimum Mz Core 2 2.1, 4 GB RAM, Intel 915gl Video on Vista Ultimate x64.
When I installed Trainz, it passed perfectly checking hardware, everything OK.
Any idea?

Hi Rosky,

If you do NOT want to watch the video, close Trainz, go to Explorer (WinXP) and go to where Trainz is loaded. I am guessing C drive, Program Files, Auran.

Open the folder called Videos, rename the files ( I put a couple of xx in front of them).

Then, when you start Trainz again, the videos will not play, and nothing will be impacted by making that change.

Regards,

Hi Rosky
For which version of Trainz are you having these troubles with?

If you don't mind not seeing the video, you can go into the session in surveyor and remove the video. This is done by opening the session in surveyor, then clicking on 'edit session rules' (on the top menu bar, the button that looks like a white square with writing on it). Now select the 4th rule down, called 'display video', then click on 'delete'. Now save the session (use save as, then give it a slightly different name, such as 'session01a' or similar).

It appears that you may also be using onboard video. We do not support this for Trainz, and as such recommend that you update to a full video card. You can try updating to the latest drivers for it, however this may or may not fix the problems.

This only works for the intro video, and not for the video clips found in these sessions.

Yes, you are right, aardvark1... I have applied your trick and the one of Zec Murphy...

thanks to both, you are very kind and replied immediately, a pleasure
