Trainz graphics

Hey all,
This probably is a common problem in the Trainz community, but Still. I have Trainz 12, and I was so excited to play it...till I saw how laggy it was. I really don't want to pay 500 bucks for a gaming computer just so I can play Trainz and GTA V when it comes out for PC. Any suggestions?

Computer Specs: was going to include, but i was too lazy to try copying it all over, but i have 8gb ram and an amd processor with the wonderfully crappy speed of 2 ghz.

Looks like you are going to have to copy it all over, as the full specs (including graphics card) are going to be needed in order to advise.

AMD Radeon HD 8400 is the graphics card.
processor and RAM noted in first post.
Computer is a Toshiba Satellite C55-A (yes, it is a laptop).

The RAM should not be an issue, and providing the processor is at least dual core, that should be OK.

There are two other possibilities though. The graphics card appears to be OK, but I will have to do some research on that card to check. Also, if you have the latest build (61388 - the number to check is at the bottom right of the Launcher) then Trainz has been known to validate assets as and when it wants to which will affect the performance.
