Things have been happening quickly here. Chris (theparot67) and I have made major new progress on the WVRR route, almost all between Sand Springs and Fairview. I also have a GTX 1660 Ti, which allows me to run it flawlessly, and a set of new passenger cars revised to more closely match real Harriman wood passenger cars.

Made a lot of progress on my 4-6-0 recently. Also just finished up an alternate rectangular tender for it, just need to add in a few of the animated meshes and get the lighting effects set up. After that, onto the late era versions of the engine and its tenders.

Been working on revamped GS-6s. Now with upgraded materials for TRS19, new smoke effects, sounds, ARN, texture improvements, new mesh detailing, new... a lot of things. The completed variations so far:

This version represents the GS-6s as delivered by Lima in 1943. Quite the looker! The only addition is the blackout hoods installed by the SP upon arrival on the system, these can be removed via config.

Your typical GS-6 mid to late 1940s. This version is missing the aluminum pilot bands, which were sporadically removed from SP GS engines throughout the 40s and 50s and also has a black ring around the headlight. This ring is removable via config edits.

GS-6 class circa 1948 onward, with the large billboard lettering on the tender.

A GS-6 in its twilight years. Repeated grade crossing incidents and a general effort to improve the visibility of its engines in bad weather conditions has lead to the use of bright reflective silver paint on the face of the locomotive. This would be the representative of the of the GS-6 in the mid to late 50s as steam died out on the SP.

GS-6 locomotives didn't get the daylight scheme applied to them. They were delivered during WWII and being smaller than the GS-4 and GS-5 slightly, they got the nickname "War Baby". During the war, even the Daylights got repainted black.

• The GS-6 lacked side skirting and red and orange "Daylight" paint found on previous locomotives of the GS class, and were painted black and silver instead.
• They were built during World War II, but was never painted the famous Daylight paint scheme but Instead, it was painted black and silver, thus giving it the nicknames "War Baby", "Black Daylight".
