I've been using a 5600G with 16 GB of ram at 3600 MHz for a year and a half...
I can assure you that it works and well averaging 40 fps ... but you must sacrifice the low settings. In my case I don't need to disable the shadows, but keep them Low. Without shadows you improve a little more.
6 months ago I bought an RTX3060, and now I can unleash Trainz, to my delight...
As a comparison, if I put my old GTX750 Ti on it, there was no difference, I think it was even worse.
As data, Ryzen 7600G is slightly better in graphics, but more powerful as cpu.
But if you have to (as I did) until you can buy a dedicated graphics card, it works.

Another point to take into account, is that both use PciExpress x 3, for me it is not a problem, I have not seen relevant performance comparisons.
