Welcome to the forums.

The Raildriver controller is the main controller type for Trainz (like it is for Microsoft Train Simulator - a keyboard and mouse can still be used though) , but be aware that it's not cheap.

Shane

P.S. You will need to check the requirements before purchasing.

Raildriver is a luxury item, essentually it is a keyboard that has programable realistic handles and buttons.

I find that the PC keyboard commands are just as easy to use

Get a gamepad and a key in-putter like Pinnacle.

I modified the Railworks profile.

Beats the keyboard and even better than Raildriver for Trainz because Steam locos work.

The keyboard is lame.

If you download Pinnacle free they will offer a discount later.

Can you post how you modified the Railworks profile please
Just change the keyboard strokes in the profile.

The Railworks profile provides a basic profile to put the keystrokes.

Raildriver has the Steam Loco problem in Trainz in the latest build. Raildriver works well in sims like OpenRails that are geared by the makers to support Raildriver.
Trainz and Railworks half-a$$ support Raildriver.

For Raildriver there is a work around for steam locos, for TS12 49922, that is posted on this forum. Not sure about SP1, whether it works or not.

The reverser and regulator don't work even with an engine using the C-41 mod in SP!.

Lame

EDIT: Besides the physics model in most Trainz and Railworks content is so bad that Raildriver isn't that advantageous to giving the feel of a real train.

And yet another reason to stay with 49922 ;)
