"TRAINZ COLECTORS EDITION" SPEL CHEQUER

Would someone at Auran/N3V please use a spell checker on their graphical web ads - even Adobe Fireworks and Photoshop come with built in spell checkers.

Maybe their spell checker is set for US spelling (I know words like 'traveller' are only spelt with one 'l' in US English - as it is, Firefox's spell checker thinks the Australian spelling of 'traveller' is wrong as I type this), so it's possible this is just the American spelling (although that's odd considering Auran is an Australian company).

Of course it might have just been an innocent typo by a stressed graphic artist that somehow got free. :p

Interesting theory, Enkidoh, but wrong.

Even in the US, where they do everything wrong, 'collector' is spelt with two 'L's'.

And this stupid spellchecker is telling me that I have spelt 'spelt' wrong! I am an Aussie, dammit! I will not use 'spelled'! It's WRONG!:'(:'(

Ok, I'm going to sit in the corner and have a nervous breakdown for awhile.

Edit: To be honest, I had not actually noticed the error until you pointed it out to me. The eye sees what the eye expects to be there.

Matt.

if you think about it, Auran use many words spelled in the American way. Color instead of Colour is typical.

By the way 'spelled' and 'spelt' are both correct in Australia.

Come on guys give me a break your seriously going to nick pick over simple spelling mistakes that all people do? I bet all my money in the world that not even for one day you guys can't go without complaining I mean I just don't understand why we waste time everyday complaining about the same thing. Why I could everyday to complain about the goverment and how people are acting so ridiculous over nothing. I see people get beat up because they wouldn't give them a pencil wow.

Even in the US, where they do everything wrong
And this statement really is offensive and every country spells something different I don't see what the huge deal is how we spell spell here. I don't see why everyone like to pick on how american's say things or speak. I mean, I don't go around saying how you spell things in Australia is weird or just plan dumb do I?

If this continues this thread should be locked. I attacking others for were they live is not right at all.

We all (I think) tolerate cultural and national differences and even different levels of spelling skills (but I draw the line at SMS/TXT speak) in these forums.

But Auran/N3V is a company for which the image they project is important. If they can't take enough care with the spelling/grammar/presentation of their advertisements, then can we be confident that they take enough care with the products they sell? I know that "COLECTORS" may be just a simple typo by a graphic designer who probably had no connection with the software coders but a public mistake by one employee can badly, if unfairly, reflect on all employees as well as the business. Plus it is an embarrassment to those of us, the Trainzers, who try to support the company.

My 2c worth.

Hi All
Thank you for reporting this, I'll speak to the team on Monday about correcting it.

Unfortunately, this one did slip though :(

While you're in there;

There are two Ps in "stopping", and something like "Stopping files from being processed" or "canceling file processing" would be a less clumsy phrase.

EDIT: just caught another one same page - I before E except after C, it's "received" not "recieved".

"May all of your smelling pistakes go unscene." - anymouse

I posted the same complaint about their ads, and the profile mistakes many months ago, I'm glad Zec has responded to this one at least. I'm glad they changed the front page ad, at least I don't have to see the pseudo word "bouns" any longer...:o
