trainz classic

There is TC1 and TC2. TC2 included everything that TC1 had in it, and so will TC3.
That's not my understanding.

According to what's been posted here previously, if you haven't already got TC1/TC2 installed then with TC3 you get the latest version of the program, the TC3 routes and sessions, and their dependencies. You don't get the TC1/TC2 routes, sessions and dependencies (except for any dependencies which are also required by the TC3 routes and sessions).

However, if you've already got TC1/TC2 installed, then installing TC3 will apply a service pack update to the TC1/TC2 program and add the TC3 additional routes, sessions and dependencies to those already there.

Correct me please if I've misunderstood how it will work.

so what your saying is i need to get tc1&2 to use tc3?
No, sorry, that's not what I'm saying. This is complicated and difficult to put into words. I can see a lot of people finding it very confusing.

If I'm right, then TC3 will run by itself without any need for TC1/TC2.

You'd only need to also purchase TC1/TC2 if you wanted any of their routes, sessions or dependencies.

Let me try to explain it a different way:

If you only have TC1/TC2 installed then you get the TC1/TC2 version of the program and the TC1/TC2 routes, sessions and dependencies.

If you only have TC3 installed then you get the TC3 version of the program and the TC3 routes, sessions and dependencies.

If you have TC1/TC2 and TC3 installed then you get the TC3 version of the program and the TC1/TC2 and TC3 routes, sessions and dependencies.

All the stuff needed for TC3 Route and Sessions. Nothing more, nothing less. As TC3 is UK 1960's themed all the content will be aimed at that era, and more so for the particular route. The Settle & Carlisle line. http://www.trainzclassics.co.uk/

The idea behind the classics series is if their is a particular version that you don't like then you can skip it. So say TC1&2 pack doesn't have an content of interest for you, then you can skip that and start at say TC3, later down the line more classics packs come out and say again that TC5 has content that is on interest to you. You then get TC5 and this can be added to you already existing TC3 purchase and all the game coding updates from TC1, 2, 3, 4 & 6 will be included. I hope that helps to explain a bit about the Classics idea.

BStyles...

The post above by LieLestoSbrat is rather clear in explaining what is included in TC3.

Please re-read his post and this should clear things up for you.

But if it is not clear enough for you, the answer is NO.

Have fun....
