Trainz Classic Volume 3

If I get this will I be able to add engines and rolling stock as well as other inventory? Is it upgradeable?

Well 16 People have read this without a reply - I really hope someone will reply or re-direct me to where I need to go to get an answer. I was told that my computer would not run well if at all if I installed 2010 or 2012 versions of Trainz. so I am hoping that Trainz Classic Volume 3 will be better that NO Trainz at all!!!! Please advise me. Thanks.....

TC3 is full of British content. Do you want British content only? Most things will not work in Trainz Classics, as TC 1,2 & 3 don't have the usual content, like the PB15 interior and sounds, which a lot of engines need.

If you want a full version of Trainz that most extras will work in, choose either TS2010 or TS2009.

I started with TC3. I loved it! I'm an Aussie who is into British trains only. Although, if you live in America, I assume you will want American trains. If so, TC3 is the completely wrong choice!

TS2010 is a better choice, but if you cannot run that, try TS2009. It is almost the same as TS2010, the only differences being the lack of the Multiplayer patch and no SpeedTrees.

Thank you so very much for your input! I will look at the TS2009!!

TC12 is an even better choice. From my perspective (whose pleasure is in landscaping and playing), TRS2004 was the standard which was not beaten until TC3 came along. I was disappointed in 2009 and 2010 versions but am having a great time with TC12 and am currently converting Gwladys Ddu over to it (and making some major changes). In my totally biased opinion, a sim does not get much more realistic than what I am currently achieving in TC12. As for Speedtrees? If you see Trainz is a game ........ they're great. If you are trying simulate realism....... they're totally inappropriate. I am not using them.

Regards. Colin.

For myself, performance has got better since TC3, with TRS12 . I'm sure they have pretty much similar rec specs?

Can always turn the settings down anyhow and it should still look better than TC3.
