TRAINZ Back to the Future 4-6-0

Wow I was not expecting to see the Delorean Time Machines as well as the engine. This could look great on one of my routes. Keep up the good work on this project. :) Also are there going to be drivable versions as well?
 
For the moment, only the railroad version will be created. It is currently over 170,000 polygons with hidden triangles thats why I want to put it in gmax where I can properly scale it and add the atachments and reduce the polycount and apply the textures properly. I will later make all the models driveable but for now thw RR ver. is a traincar. I will do the flying delorean as well if anyone wants.

You can download things and convert it and make it your own. It coverts .im files to .3ds keeping textures. No more needing to ask the author.

Interesting. I tried this program for converting Railroad Tycoon 3 model files and I got complaints about it being a free version. I just tried it and it worked. I think it would be still a good idea to credit or ask the author first before you reverse-engineer their model though.

Just a tip though, the program has a 30-day limit. It's a trick they don't tell you about, so be cautious.

I am aware. The models are free for use on the sketchup 3D warehouse by Mandun. Have yet to be able to send a message to him, even on youtube It wont let me send a message to him.

Actually, you'd better make your own as this is a GTA: VC conversion and as such I cannot release it. :p

Actually, everyone. I no longer have the steam engine models. My pc locked up and I had to do a system recovery. I still have the deloreans though but they are too high in polygons. I will start the models again in Autodesk 3ds Max.
 
Yes I bumped this thread so what? I have gmax back since autodesk was giving me problems and i sent my rogers model over to gmax to be put in game. Deloreans will be textured aswell

Well i thank ye. Its almost done. Needs about 2 more hours of work. I took this update pic with my phone so everyone could see the textures.

I want to make several diorama's of Back to the future.

I need a proper:
courthouse
large town clock
movie theater
wood trestle bridge
downtown buildings
DeLorean
VW Microbus

Please help me find these assets
 
I'm making them all so don't you worry. I've done the DeLoreans and VW Microbus already. The courthouse is next on my list. Eventually I aim to make the whole town of Hill Valley in Trainz.
