Trainz and SSD's

I have a new computer and will be ordering Trainz 12 in the next week or so. I have a 128GB Crucial M4 as a system drive and a Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD as a data drive. Should Trainz be installed on the SSD or on the HDD? Will there be any benefit performane wise in putting it on the SSD?

Someone has told me that the biggest problem with an SSD is that if it breaks down it is useless because you cannot recover what is on it. Can someone clarify this please?
