trainz and dual monitors

i have ts2020 and ts12 and am wondering what is the best way to take advantage of dual monitors with these simulators.
thanks

You mean trs2010... right? O_O

I would love to see what Trs2020 would be like right now...

On the subject, what do you mean by taking advantage of dual monitors?

I myself use dual monitors and I find that on either monitor, there is no realistic difference in performance (Though both monitors are exactly the same model and brand). Though if your using something like a good Nvidia graphics card, you can force Trainz to be "stretched" between the two monitors. I've never done this, mind you so I dont know what it would be like...

Or are you trying to run both at the same time?

lol, ts2020! i cant type for crap! i am currently using one monitor but have dual monitor capability and was curious if there was and "gameplay" advantage to having a setup like that, but it dont seem like it tho. was just curious.

You might want to move to liquid nitrogen cooling and over clocking. The more pixels you are displaying the more computer power you need.

I run dual monitors on my laptop with an Nvidia card. I run a 36 inch HD TV as my main monitor. Unfortunately Trainz can't make use of a second monitor yet. Would be great if it was possible to have map mode so you can keep an eye on multiple consists.
cheers,
Mike

Other video games split the 2 or more screens, and divide them between 2 monitors, giving a center windshield strip divider, wide angle view.

I think in Trainzoptions file the lne: -dualhead allows two monitors to split up the scenes.

I gave -dualhead a shot and the results were not that great... Trainz still defaulted to my main screen and the right side of it was all black, the left was the game but compressed into half the size...

Mike10 posted some screen shots a while ago of his multi screen setup, what a great panoramic view it was. Search his name for the thread.
