Hope everybody had a happy new year's day & welcome back to work you guys at Auran. I just D/Led Trainz Agent: how do i get it to recognizer TRS2004? it's said not installed Help please. running 2004 build 2365. I also have trainz object but it won't show TRS2004, only Trainz 1.3 or earlier is there a update for it?

I am not to sure what you are looking at to see such problems. I have both Trainz Agent and TrainzObjectz and everything is fine and I have been using them for years.

With Trainz Agent, I go to the DLS and click which boxes (versions) of Trainz I am using, currently 2004 and lower. I look at a certain content by clicking on details, and when that window opens hopefully there is an image there (if there is not image then Trainz Agent will not work). If so and I want the item, I drag the image over to Trainz Agent (TA)and then look at other items. Once I am finished I then tell TA to check if I have it, or in the case of a layout what is needed and if I have it. In either case if I do not have the items then I can download it through TA and extract it to my 2004. So using this I am not sure what you are seeing. Using this method for another "higher" then 2004 (TRS2006 and upward) would be a little bit difficult due to CMP and I would not recommend it.

With TrainzObjectz (TO) again I am not sure what you are looking at. TO will show what ever you have in your Dispatcher/Download folder where all your content for 2004 is located. It will not pick out different versions of Trainz that people may have. If you have downloaded TO from Tafwebs site you should have the most up to date version - 544. TO will not work for versions of Trainz above 2004, TO can not see anything in 2006 or higher.

Some clarifications here Craig/Danny;

- TA can still get assets even if there is no thumbnail image to be dragged from the DLS page across into the TA 'cart' area. You can still highlight the line of text for the FTP path (eg. /Restricted/trainz/TRAINZ01/buildingsstructures/kuid_124930_11020.cdp) and drag that into the 'cart'. The only thing is that you can't mix both kinds of information (ie. images and path text) in the cart at the same time, it has to be all of one type or the other.

- TA can get TRS-2006 assets in the same way as for '04. In fact I frequently do this by accident if I don't look carefully at the trainz-build of each asset displayed on the DLS page.

- Trainzobjectz also has no trouble listing TRS-2006 assets if you happen to have them in the TRS-2004 \World\Dispatcher\Downloads folder along with all your other kuids. If they are in the TRS-2006 database however, then yes, it won't see them there.

thanks guys When i go to the DLS fine the item i want I've clicked on D/L page there i have a choice to use DLH or FTP being that i haven't been able to D/L using helper i use FTP I see no place to drag & drop anything. If i click on trainz agent i get this massage (Trainz 2004 probably not installed unable to read/find TRS 2004 registry key) from this point on I'm at a lost. I'm using TRS 2004/2365 i was hopping TA was something like CMP where i could look at files and maybe chance some like i did in 06.

I am still not getting to use TA it still not recognizing that I have TRS2004/2365 installed/when i click on it with left or right mouse button. still get the same massage 2004 must not be installed!. can someone help me with this?
