Trainz 2012

Hi all,
Just received my Trainz 2012 and have a problem.
I placed Disc 1 into my drive and the installation stopped at ts12d.ja.
I tried three times to get the first Disc to install but it stopped at ts12d.ja every time.

It reads;--

C:\Program Files (x86)\N3V Games\TS12\Builtin\ts12d.ja
An Error occured while copying a file
Data Error ( cyclic redundancy check )

Has any one had this?

I have sent this problem to support.

Hi Mike,

CRC errors when using a disc are nearly always due to a damaged, faulty, or dirty disc or drive.

Thank you for your reply.
I was thinking of purchasing a digital down load but there appears to be problems there so I went for a boxed version.
I don't have a problem with loading other programs using my Disc drive.
I will have to wait for a reply from support to see what they suggest.

Try to copy the DVD contents to a folder on the hard drive and run it from there, sometimes that works if the drive doesn't like the DVD as does using a different drive. Not all drives like all types of media which can be another cause of CRC errors.

Hi Malc,

I don't have much knowledge of computers, I just put the DVD in the drive and let it get on with it.
