Trainz 2012 download question

Hi. I have downloaded 6. something gigs of this programme last night, and have ended up with a ".bin" file. can someone suggest what I do with this now?

You should run the Trainz Simulator 12 setup(exe. file), make sure that your All folders placed in the same folder.

Yeah, he's right, but please finish downloading all the files first, place them all in the same folder, and then execute the installation file in the bin folder.

Trouble is, it's a setup file. It's not .exe, and when I try to unzip it, it throws up a "unknown or damaged format" error.

You should have several bin files and a setup.exe which you run. the setup extracts the files from the bin files and installs the program, no other way to do it.

Usual problem is failing to use a proper download manager and using a browser which on large files will often result in corrupt downloads as they do not resume if interrupted. Download managers normally check that the file is complete and will continue until all the file is there, plus they are a lot quicker.

Have a look in the TS12 forum there should be a list of the correct file sizes in one of the threads.

Ah. the problem was that there are multi-files to down-load, not just one!!! I thought (having a blokes' look that they were different mirror sites. I have now got all the files and am "properly sorted", as you Poms would say... Thanks to all who took the time to help.

Ts12 is about 7.5gb with about 6 or 7 seperate files without updates
