trainz 2010 info

Hi does anybody know if you can use the old content from UTC, trs2004 and trs2006 in trs2010 because I have repaints that I created and also downloaded some other content too which I would like to keep using.
If anybody knows can they let me know, thanks :D
 
They'll work in compatibility mode definatly but I've found that around 50% work fine in native mode and the rest need fixing using content manager and PEV's magnificent tools that he has produced to work in native mode (although I've come across some baffeling errors espicaly with steam engine specs that I havn't a clue how to fix)

P.S looks like I am going to have to upload my HOA, IOA, JIA-A and other assets up on the DLS on 2010 now :)

can't wait for them to be complete won't be long now :D

Also what is seasonal asset support is that what compatibility mode is??

Seasonal support means that an asset can show different aspects depending on the season as defined in the environment calendar. Trees can change leaf color in the fall and even lose their leaves in the winter. As new objects are made that use this feature, it will become more obvious in game.

Meanwhile, compatibility mode allows objects from older versions to function in TS2010, albeit with reduced performance. This is not guaranteed to always work since many older objects were created using techniques that are no longer supported or approved. As well, minor errors in the config files were ignored in the past at the cost of performance. Since many objects were also created by copying config files from previous objects, any such errors in the original files tended to spread.

just one more thing do the couplestar features on new assets that are being created like mine work as well because eldavos couplers look really good on assets
