trainz 2009 digital download

I purchased the digital download of trainz 2009 shortly after it was deployed.
It was registered. The problem I am having is that I lost my operating system and lost all of my downloaded content including the simulator itself. Is there away of getting a copy of that digital download

Yes, it should still be available under 'Order History' (or is it 'Purchase History'?) in your Planet Auran profile.
