Trainz 2006 Content Manager

I just got the full version of Trainz 2006 today, and I have been attempting to go into Content Manager a few times since playing the game. Everytime I click on it the trainz 2006 window pops up, and then I click the Content Manager, the window slowly closes and nothing comes up. Is there supose to be a new window?

There is meant to be a new window appearing titled 'Content Manager Plus' but sometimes it does not load correctly or takes ages to load (could be up to an hour in extreme cases)

It may be possible to speed it up by loading Trainz first (be aware, this could take some time before the main menu screen appears - one with Surveyor,Driver,Railyard, Trainz Exchange (on some versions) and Quit/Exit), before exiting and loading CMP.

Only one warning: If you have not already installed SP1, doing either will prevent SP1 from installing.

Shane:by "could be up to a hour" I assume you are referring to the first or initial startup of CMP. My CMP in 06 loads in about 15 seconds after displaying the brief "updating database, please wait". CM2 in 09 actually takes a little longer, about 20 seconds. This is with a rather modest spec computer.

Yes Tom, you are correct there, I am referring to an initial startup (or if Trainz has encountered a fatal error) - any other time, as you said, it only takes between 10 seconds and a minute.
