2 questions how do I get the screen to stop flickering in trainz 2012 happen when trying to run any route 2nd question when start trainz 2006 it stalled and take forever tp open any route.
just a side note nycta works well with 2004-2006 I guess nycta 205-2012 are made for higher games.;)

As far as I know since I have TC3, the older versions of Trainz don't like to run on Windows 7 or (I think) 8. As for the 2012 problem, go to the options from the launcher, and switch it from OpenGL to DirectX.

thanks moving up to trainz 2009 hopefully with better results

I still use 2006 and it runs fine in Windows 7. I don't know what time frame (in minutes/seconds) you attach to "forever to open a route". I've noticed it takes Win 7 longer to start 2006 than it took Win XP. However, it can be measured in only a few minutes longer at most. When I moved from an XP to Win 7 machine I first copied the full 2006 file, as well as 2010 file, (did not install) over to the Win 7 machine into a folder (Auran) outside the Program Files folder. It ran fine and was quick to start UNTIL something happened, unrelated to Trainz, that required a tech to add to or rebuild the registry. During that process they added lines pertaining to TRS-2006 and TS-2010 to the registry and that is when I first noticed both programs became sluggish in starting and loading route files.
