Trainz 2004 not loading.

Hi, I wonder if you can help me, I have purchased Trainz 2004 build 2370, installed it but it won't run. I get to the first screen after clicking on the icon but that's it, the screen goes black for a few seconds then back to the desktop.

I am running
Intel core duo 2.3 GHZ
2 gig RAM
Nvidia G-Force 8400 GS
XP Pro SP2

I haven't downloaded any spatches as yet, just installed the game from the sold out range 2 cd box.

I hope you can help.

It could be the inability of your computer software to display the intro video. To test, open your TRS2004\trainzoptions.txt file for edit with notepad and enter the line
-intro=disable
then close and save.
This will bypass the video but cause no other effect.

It was the video, I just re -installed the divx codec and all was fine.
