Trainz 12 Multiplayer Help

i found a online game a hr ago, and it was interesting, once i got bored with driving back and forth on Debrecen - Nyiregyhaza, so i started my own multiplayer map and, like always it just doesnt wanna work online, it says that there r no players online and so it sets my game to local and i cant change it back unless i reset it, and it keeps doing it. and 1 more thing i wanna know is how i can make my custom maps useable to others online? i have no idea how. again keep it simple, i dont know much about data files and such. please help me with this.

all the stuff you put in your map must be on the download station,, for others to play. so really you can only use built in stuff for your route.....for it to work right

i havnt had the opportunity to download anything, it either is offline, which is is most of the time, or it keeps failing, i start the download and nothing happens then if says nothins but the "retry" icon lights up, so im guessing their failing.. so iv been using the stuff thats in the game default. absolutly no downloaded content, unless it automatically takes the downloaded content from 2010, if so then i mightv got some in there.

so, has anyone had any luck finding a online session often enough for us to call it fixed?

cuz i havnt been on in a while so i figured they mustv fixed the multiplayer issue.
 
Ok First in routes click on the star over top names of route make it black. now there a row of 0 eighter at top or bottom there should be a 1 click on that route then click on session. wait a few minutes for a playing session to appear. Then click join session. You may get a screen that will say missing or modifed assets need to be DLed or change click yes. It depends on what route you have choosing as to how long it will take to join. You can start a MP session and mabe someone will join you. Most routes have MP or multiplayer in there names.
There 2 routes that are on a lot. (1) Is the UMR summer route be neilsmith749 kuid2:95512:100024:8 & the session by mmonti kuid2:69116:100086:2.(they try to run this 24/7) Team Speak3 66.45.231.18
(2) Montanna Rail link 12 by jib228 Route kuid:344263:100029> Session is MRL 12 MP v1.5 By jib228 kuid:344263:100094>
This is run on friday nights around 6pm.EST. Team Speak3 for talk while in session 108.91.138.12

Then maybe they should charge a fee...$5.00 a month to pay for maintance once a week...and the suport needed to keep the server in tip top shap..what good is MP if the server is allways down...

In order to join a multiplayer session, ensure the following is true:

1) You have the base session and route locally installed.
2) All the dependencies are locally installed and are neither faulty nor locally-modified. Check this in Content Manager.
3) You must be logged in with your Planet Auran account. From the Launcher, click "Options", then go to the Planet Auran tab.
4) Trainz must be patched to the current version, which is 49922.
 
My Session is for TS12 and everything is either built in or on the DLS. Try downloading Port Ogden TS12 MP V1 which includes the route and you should be able to join the session ok. When I left home this morning it was still running and is now in it,s 3rd day. For further information see my thread in Multiplayer Forums which is where this thread should be. My route differs from both UMR by Lewis and Montana Raillink in that mine is more of a circular route not end to end. The advantage of that is it is a lot quicker going from one side of the map to the other. Port Ogden and UMR both have a lot of locomotives, Rolling Stock and Interactive Industries. None of the three routes hardly bother to run passenger services. Jib228 likes to run more formal sessions but not strictly 24/7 at the moment, The only 24/7 session I,m aware of is UMR which I like as it makes the session more like a real railway. I aim to run long sessions, several days at a time but as I only have one computer running the session prevents me working on the next version and joining UMR or Montana Rail Link which is an inconvienience. I have quite a bit of work planned for my next version but that,s for my thread. UMR and Montana Raillink both have Teamspeak 3 and I intend to have it in the near future.
 
The same thing for me, to. There is no specific multiplayer button, and when i look in the updates box it says "offline" even when im logged in to planet auran. the multiplayer session in for a particular route doesnt work, it just says connnecting under it and
never connects. I dont know how to play muliplayer! HELPL!:'(
 
Thomas, To Multiply you need to download the Route and session.Make sure that all the dependence are there.Before you leave check for item open for edit if so commit them.
Now open trainz,click on routes. Note there 3 triangles above the rows too the right,the first one tells you what routes are being played as a multiplayer route.click on that then click on session.
Wait a few minutes for the session being played to show up.Click on the session that has someone name then click on join session.
Team Speak is a free talk program that is used for multiplayer.
Playing Multiplayer is the same as playing by yourself but you interact with others and you change switches/junctions behind you.DON"T wreck,take to many locos(no more then 4),or have a train to long (around 50 cars). Talk to others let them know where you are and what you are about to do.(to avoid wrecks)

I found three reasons mine didn't work. 1. i suck with computers. 2. I had to update. 3. my username had been the same as my password, but i changed it. it works fine now.
