Trains priority returning from portal

Is there a way to ensure that trains returning through a portal retain their priority?
On my Merioneth layout I have given the main-line trains a priority of 1, however when they return back through the portal they return with a priority of 2 and then scarper up the branch line.

Any help or advise would be welcome.

Try priorityz, and use that as the first command from portal. Then set priority as you want.
