Trains Options: In cabview

In my 49922 version of trains on an a external HD, when driving from inside the cab, using the L and R arrows I can slide my view across the cab from one side to the other without altering the depth of view and can even have the view from outside the drivers window if I want to. I know this is a command in the Trains Option file which from memory also puts a short string of numbers in the driving screen down in the LH corner.

In my fully patched up 61388 version on C drive, I have the same list of commands in the Trains Options file but in this version, cannot 'slide' my view across the cab from one side to the other using the L and R arrows but instead it appears as if Im standing in one place and 'turning my head around the cab'. Nor can I have a view from slightly outside the drivers window for a steam engine. The numbers are no longer down in the LH corner of the driving window either
Is this a failing of the update or is there something I need to do to fix it. I know another person also has the problem so how do we sort it so that we have what we had before? Cheers

Hello,

In SP1 builds of TS12 (build numbers over 49922) trainzoptions.txt needs to be in the UserData folder, not the root folder, and should only contain your added-in options.

To add to what Kieran said, you may have to create the file if it doesn't exist. Unlike the olden times, the default always were once there to start with options are built-into the program now. You only add in additional things such as -freeintcam, etc.

Thanks Keiran/John . Do I just copy and paste the whole trains option file into the user data folder, or is there more to it than that? Cheers

If you've still got the file present, then you can just cut and paste it, and then open it up to delete any of the lines you didn't add in, leaving only those like -freeintcam.
