Trains keep derailing/exploding at random in any route I run.

I don't know if this is a glitch or not but I currently run on TRS22 version build 123801. Any train that appears on any map, at random, it could explode where the train's consist go all over the place, or any train I run could randomly derail on a bridge or tunnel section track. Is there anyway that I can fix this so I can enjoy Trainz 2022 again? I believe it's something in my graphic settings that might be doing this but happy to provide any information to troubleshoot this further.

Because of this, It's making me leave the game a lot in frustration. This has been going on for me for about six months. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Sorry to hear about this 94,

I just finished a fairly long test drive in Driver in TRS22PE. When I started the test I had loads of derailments occurring like you are. Now by the end of the session I have eliminated them completely during the second half of the test drive. I intend to shortly write up a report on another thread here:

I would be curious whether other users might confirm my observations - maybe you can try the solution I found and see if it works for you too.......it might give more clues about what is causing these derailments.

As far as I can tell everything is on the same layer ( I haven't created anything routewise, as the route is as it came).
The latest example was a 14 wagon (UK) container train hauled by one locomotive and as I was following the consist (over plain line, no switches etc) the loco and the first 3 wagons kept going and the remaining 11 just stopped in two chunks, all wagons having the yellow X above them. I had used Surveyor to load them (which is fairly new process to me). The consist had travelled at least 10 miles ok, so I can't understand why it happens sometimes and not others. This never happened in TANE unless a switch was set wrong. I haven't yet tried running a train manually to see if it happens then, O if it is an AI driver that is the issue (if it is AI, I might fire them all!). That is my next attempt.
As an aside, TANE used to let you easily set train maximum speed (You don't expect 100mph coal trains!), but I can't see how it's done in Trainz 22.
well, running it manually didn't work. Going along at 90% line speed, on plain line, the loco and 1st wagon just came to a griding halt, with the rest of the train continuing on, loco less!
Any ideas? Is it possibly down to the amount of consists I have on the network? Although, I rarely have more than 3/4 running at a time, and in the latest case, it was just my manual consist running.

For AI trains there is a driver command you can add to the start of their driver command list - Set Max Speed To and Set Max Speed To (km/h)
Thanks Pware, How and where? I presume it can get added to the command Status list in Driver Control Center, but I can't see how it's done. I've looked in settings but can't see anything that remotely looks like 'set max speed'.
I seem to remember adding items in TANE but think I need pointing in the right direction. Thanks

This is done per-session unfortunately. Choose the session you want to do this for and edit the session. Click on the route at the routes and sessions menu, then click on the sessions button. In the list of sessions, choose the one you want.

Click on edit session.

Located in the upper left of the menu bar in "Surveyor"*, you'll see an icon that looks like paper. Click on that and choose Edit session.
In the session editing screen, you will see Driver Setup, some rules and Driver Commands.

Click on Driver Commands.

Scroll through the list until you find the commands you want to add to the driver-commands in your session and select them by clicking on the checkbox one at a time.

Once you've added all the commands you want, I'm assuming that once you're in there it'll be like going to the store where you end up with more than a couple of things you went to the store for in the first place, click Apply and Ok. (I'm sketchy here because my desktop is down and I'm writing this from a laptop without Trainz installed.)

Close the Edit Session screen and then save your session. If this is a built-in or DLC session, you'll have a new copy of your own. I recommend giving the session a new name to differentiate from the built-in or DLC version. If it's one of your own, just save it.

Once the commands are added, you can use them.

Thanks for this. Sketchy or not, you've pointed me to the list of driver commands to be added. BUT, unfortunately for me, there is nothing between 'Run Around' and 'Unload'. I've scrolled through the list a couple of times and there is no mention of 'Maximum Speed' so unless there's somewhere else to go, I may be stuffed.
Tomorrow, I will try it on a different route to see if I get anywhere.
Just the continuous derailments to deal with now, which I will try on the same different route tomorrow. I guess if the derailments stop, then it's an issue with my current route.

Set Max Speed To and its km/h cousin is on the DLS and needs to be downloaded first unless you have some DLC where it's included.
Thanks JC, I wouldn't have thought of that but it has worked and I now have the set max speed option.

Regarding the 'derailments', after many occasions yesterday, I have given up and started from scratch. So far so good.
