Trains Euthanasiast group

After signing on to this forum, which I have to do each time for some reason, then quickly scrolling through the forum posts titles to the one I wanted, I saw one the I thought said Trains Euthanasiast Group. With a flash of cerebral brilliant, an mindful of Kickstart, I thought good stuff, they are getting rid of all the rubbish on the DLS and stopping the uploading of incomplete assets and routes. Unfortunately I made the mistake of going back to check what I thought was my good fortune and was very disappointed to see that it was Train 'Enthusiasts' group. What a let down. Why do we need an enthusiasts group when we use the Forum? Aren' t we enthusiasts enough when we do so? I like the first idea better.

It's probably the Trainz Enthusiast Group forum, which you will understand if you read the Kickstarter details carefully.

Enthusiasts paid a heap of money to get more of a say in what happens in trainz or something

Euthanasia refers to the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering, I guess that includes ALL Trainzers from about 2004 onwards then with the many ordeals we've had to put up with. Who will administer this anyway, I wonder, and where do we all sign up. :hehe:

The Euthaniasiats Group are most likely to self destruct by putting themselves down before their first meeting.:D

The true enthusiasts, on the other hand, are likely to continue creatively contributing – if allowed to do so.

I must say I have some misgivings with regard to what might be produced by those who have bought into the Enthusiasts Group with the $2000 and more contribution (six at the time of posting). Could we end up with a camel? [Camel: a horse designed by a committee].

No doubt there will be some amongst their number who have the skills and talent to make a progressive contribution, but I can’t help thinking that the real peak of the creative mountain exists amongst the greater population of Trainz users. I hope they won’t be totally excluded.

Wonder where you got this idea from? Membership in the TEG can be had for $350 AUD....there are 34 from the KS campaign...plus however many choose that level from the anewera.trainzportal site. You're assuming the TEG group has decision making power....they don't. They will have access to privy information and make suggestions based on that and their supposed experience. Having advisory groups such as the PC and TEG for which the only requirement for membership is a purchase plan, would be at a greater risk of having unqualified members.....I'm not too worried about it....cream tends to rise to the top...

I got the numbers from the Kickstarter pledge Reward Tier listings, counting from the highest pledge values and worked downwards until they no longer had TEG in the list of what is included in each package. They appeared to stop at the $1,000, which doesn’t have TEG member included (still doesn’t – just checked).

I hadn't realised that they restarted again at lower values. I stand corrected!:o
