Where do I find Trainz dem and how good is it and how does it work.
I want to build a route in NZ it is a real route and is based in the south island from Palmerston to Middlemarch
Any ideas

The program will do everything you want and more. Does have a bit of steep learning curve but there is plenty of help in the tutorials and help files that come with the package plus extensive help on this forum. Cost is $NZD43.00

As a recent convert to Trainz the best place to learn about how to use this programme I discovered was the Tutorials posted on YouTube which whilst some are elementary the majority are very helpful

A Great Start!

Due to the lack of interest in making prototypical routes by the Trainz Community, I would say go for it.

The ability to use elevation data plus possible map overlays is a total reason for owning a non-commercial licensed version of TransDEM TrainzEdition!

Well depending on what you want created the cost might be more expensive than just buying transdem.

Besides it is an absolute blast to play with and have damn near the whole world at your fingertips to create trainz maps from...
