Train Rocking

Okay, go into surveyor, open the tracks menu, select the "?" button, then click the track and set the track condition to 100%.

The problem is I have miles and miles of track, The track is broken up in sections. I have to change each section of track to 100%, That is not doable, Isn't there a global fix to this?

Not that I know of, but you could suggest it or ask around.

Quick and simple way:

Click on Trainz Settings while in Driver or Surveyor.
Click on Interface Settings on left.
Uncheck Cabin sway in internal view:

More complex way:

Clone the track you like.

Update this line or add it in if it doesn't exist to your favorite track. Do not put this inside any container, meaning anything that has { } brackets. Keep the spacing the same as it is in the config.txt file.

track-condition "0.50"

This is an example with the condition set to 50%, the default setting for track.

Less than this and the track rougher. 0.01 is 1% and that's really, really bumpy. I've used this for really bad sidings. I've also used 0.05 for really bumpy, rolling coal and freight branches where doing anything more than 10 mph is deadly.

There's no derailment, but it sure looks immanent.

You can now use the bulk update utility to update your already placed track in one fell swoop.

If you want some sway (realistic sway), then change the slider to a smaller percentage. Personally, I wouldn't replace all the track because that could lead to a lot more complications and your maps would definitely not be shareable.

Yes, a bit of sway is okay, but the default is like driving a train in a river. On long routes this becomes annoying and gives me an awful headache.

Absolutely, you don't want to do the track mod if you plan to share the route. I haven't shared a route in more than a decade now and don't plan to in the future. It's great seeing boxcars and hoppers bounce along though just like the tracks maintained around here by Pan Am Railways. The track conditions were so bad on the Conn-River line that Amtrak sued and pulled the trains over to New England Central (former CV/CN) line.
