Train 2012 info

I sure think so. When you think about how much use you get out of Trainz, it's pretty much a no-brainer: It gives you more bang for your buck than pretty much any kind of entertainment.

From my own experience it,s rather like driving a 15 year old car thats seen better days then going out and buying a brand new Audi. I had 2010 for quite a while until I got a new computer then I upgraded to TS12 tp play the East Coast Main Line Route. Then I made the fatal mistake of reading a post in the Multiplayer Forums about some Route called UMR SUMMER. I was not interested in multiplayer but overcome by curosity I thought I,d give it a try. But it got worse. They use Teamspeak 3 so I had to install it. That was my fatal mistake. I became totally hooked on it. Partly because of the session, partly because I could interact with other players and partly because I got to know a some really nice and helpful people, including Danny. It,s got so Bad I,m now hosting my own session. If you take the plunge and want to try multiplayer I think the Best sessions are mine (of course) Port Ogden TS12 MP V1, Lewis,s UMR SUMMER 2013, and Jib 228,s Montana Rail Link MP V2 Danny is working on a session using the same basic route as mine which should be available soon. UMR SUMMER is the only truly 24/7 session at the moment But I keep mine going for several days at a time and Jib228 runs a nice, more formal session. `

In my opinion T12 is excellent. I just wish I was a genius with computors to import and repair stuff etc without breaking my head...So if you are a person that knows how, it would be perfect because you could upload , import and repair most any assets and dependencies you wish into T12 from local and third parties. The guys who are behind on computor technology all battle...:D

Have you finished at least half the sessions on your current version?

If YES: definitely get it.

If NO: well.... you know you want it, get it anyway.

Trainz 12 is the best of the franchise so far and what can be accomplished with it is impressive. I find it to be the most stable of the versions as well.

Because you have to have the one's who can't be pleased, you can't please all the people all the time.
Trainz 12 is a must have for any serious Trainzer.

TS12 is better then TS2010 in my opinion.

I recommend when using CM to search for routes to set the min build filter to 3.5.

But the person who started this thread does not have 2010, so he can't add the content. Straight out of the box, 2010 is much better.

Strange that you should say that. My version included 30 routes from various parts of the globe. I was sending the OP a subtle message that he needs both versions to receive the maximum benefit.

TS12 does not come with as many routes as TS2010, but there are quality TS12 routes available on the DLS.

I've had none of the problems encountered with TS2010 using TS12. It's simply better and quicker.

TS12 is the best after you install the TS10 content. Out of the box, TS12 is pretty limited content wise.

I skipped from TS2006 to T12. Can you elaborate on the above statement.

ALSO, I see there is a 2010 'Engineers edition', is there a different edition that is also 2010?

I can help elaborate here.

When TS12 was made, N3V stripped out much of the legacy (TS2010 and earlier) content, apart from what was needed to run the TS12 routes/sessions.

Most of the TS2010 content is available on the Download Station, but this does not include the built-in routes.

It is possible to import TRS2006 built-in (and local) content into TS12, but be aware that most of it is likely to become faulty (although as built-ins, you may not be aware of it until it starts affecting the game).

Shane

EDIT: TS2010's full name is 'TS2010 Engineer's Edition'.
