track priority markers revert

Hi to all in Trainz Land.

Bit of a problem, I find that my Track Priority Markers keep reverting back to 2 in both TR12 and T:ane after I save a session very annoying as I use 1 and 3 as my main up-line and down-line markers in AI.

Can't find anything on forums hence new thread,

Does any one else have this problem? Any help will be appreciated.

I have noticed this even in TRS2006 when saving a session ... Perhaps saving the route layer would do the trick ? I use Track directional markers pointing towards a train, to make it take an alternate path

I always save those in the route and never had problems with them.

I have not installed TANE SP2 yet though, so don't know if that changes anything.

An old problem: You set the marker with a level, say 3. If you set it on the route, it will stay. Now set the loco to this 3. It will faithfully execute actions based on 3 level. Now bring the loco to a portal and emit it after a set time. The loco comes out at the default number, probably 2, and you have to set it again or will not work as intended. I can't see a way out of this problem. Matter has been raised several times over the course of years but no solution has been found. To compound problems, on certain cases, save a session, and when you return to it next day, the loco is back to default!

Some of you may say that what comes out of a portal is not the same as what went in. True, but same settings applied to carried commodities, could be applied to the settings. I consider this to be a low level fix-priority case, but at some point a solution could be offered...

Not the perfect solution, but I have an asset on the DLS that can set the (maximum speed and) priority of consists based on a bunch of options. Try setting that a train length outside of the portal?
(not near my game PC at the moment so don't have easy access to the name and exact details, but if you search for my content I am sure you can find it)
