Track Priority Marker

I brought this topic up before but it never really gained any traction.

I'm wondering how hard it would be to create a priority marker. I understand the drive via command could always be used but that can add quite of bit of driver command steps on a long route.

The AI always chooses the shortest path to its destination. This sometimes takes the path following passing sidings through industries or whatever.

Is it feasible to make a track marker that tells the AI to follow the "priority" marker if it is clear along the path to the final destination?

Haven't tried that yet but it sounds like what you're looking for. I originally used

Track Direction Marker,<kuid:-3:10124>

To keep the AI out of places I didn't want them to go, but that gives false red indications to signals, so now I'm using

AI Routing Direction Marker,<kuid:30501:1013>

Which does basically the same thing as the track direction marker without affecting signals.

you allready have priority markers in the TM section. Place them on the siding should restrict trains entering to that priority or higher (maybe lower but someone will say)
