Searching these forums is difficult.

Check your Options under the Main menu in Surveyor.
Choose Surveyor Options
Change the Spline Editing Detail to the max setting (move to the right).

I complained bitterly about the "White Line" syndrome, and never got a satisfactory answer. I think it's horrible. Laying track that you can't see? Come on!!:n:

This is done to help with performance issues on lower end systems because there is less graphics to draw on the screen.

That's strange. I get white lines on a lot of tracks, especially tunnels and bridges, and also on a lot of scenery splines, regardless of the spline editing detail setting. If it were this easy, I would have fixed the problem ages ago.

Does Trainz assess your computer power and make the setting automatically? My system is certainly no powerhouse, 2.8GHz AMD CPU, and a 4650 GPU.

Mick,

Do you mean the situation where, when you are laying the track it is a broad white line and once you have laid that section it shows as normal ? If so this may be due to the track having the tag "istunnel 1" in the config, something similar may be occurring with the (now obsolete) bridge track kind.

Chris

I've seen this happen with bridges and tunnels anyway, but it never bothered me. I noticed too that this happened with TS12 and not with the other versions.

Yes, exactly that. I guess I am going to have to get used to it. I didn't know that Kind "bridge" was obsolete, but I would think that it won't be going away for a long time, there are loads of "bridge" assets that are still in use. A lot of people say they don't mind the white lines, so, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
;)
Thanks,
Mick.
