TPR Needs Your Help

I thought we had TPR funded for another year. I clicked the TPR download link tonight and it took me to a page stating that the domain had expired. Anyone know what's going on here?

I've just checked and it seems that everything is working. It is still active and searchable. I will check again, I looked at the forum. What link did you use?

I get the same message.

From robin_hoods TPR admin
TPR Depot and the Forum are both up and running
I just checked this out today and I was able to get to both the Forum and the Download Depot perhaps there was some sort of glitch when you both tried
Let me know if you have any more problems and I will contact the Main Admin
There was one part of TPR that was closed down this was a trainzproroutes.com address but this did not affect the Forum or the Depot but if you tried to go to the .com you would have got the domain has expired and I got a warning from my Virus protection when I tried to go there so dont even try it.
Here are two working links for you to try .
Download Depot = http://trainzproroutes.org/tprdownloads/index.php

TPR forum = http://www.trainzproroutes.org/forum/

Thanks Robin. Those two links are working just fine. edit: Not quite as fine as I thought - possible problems still. See next post

The link which caused (and is still causing) the problem is, as you point out, the .com address which I bookmarked a few years ago.

Thanks for the new details. I'll update my bookmarks.

Robin,

The .gif images at the top of the screen, and against each downloadable item, aren't opening in the new links.

I've looked at the URL for these and they link back to the .com address. I copied/pasted one into a new browser tab (in Chrome) and got the domain expired screen, but no virus protection warning.

Something doesn't look quite right.

I've just shoved 30 bucks into the pot, let us know how you get on please, robin hoods, if you require more, we'll have to send the boys round to people's houses......:hehe:

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Hmmm. Well Ex, do you by any chance moonlight for the IRS? or I suppose it's called Inland Revenue where you hail from. :hehe:

On a more serious note, since my main efforts are in TS2010 and my annual DLS ticket expires next month, I think I'll be sending the $$ I would have spent on a new ticket to TPR instead of buying my 7th, or is it 8th?, ticket. Would have done it sooner but I am only an impecunious pensioned ferroequinologist.

The problem is that when you go to the http://trainzproroutes.org/ address you get the TPR "Main Menu" (Welcome To TPR) which has the buttons linking you to the other places, like TPR Download Depot. This button is still directing to the old .COM location rather than the new .ORG location.

Yes you are correct I have just informed the main Admin about this as only he can change the link .

The .gif links show nothing other than the symbols as in the first screenshot below.

I’ve RMB’d the indicated .gif’s, done a Copy image URL, then copied each one into a new tab on my Chrome browser. These are the resulting URL’s.

1: "http://www.trainzproroutes.com/downloads/skins/default/images/tprdd.gif"

2: "http://www.trainzproroutes.com/downloads/skins/default/images/cdp1.gif" This URL seems to be the same for each .gif in the same column, and also for other asset categories (I've tried three different categories).

Here’s a copy of the resulting page when either of the quoted URL’s are called up.

Edit: Downloads appear to be working OK though. I've just downloaded a pelican which is now happily swimming around in Surveyor!

So ... This is like: do not click on the link below it has the virus "Ignore that link"
Yes it says dont click on the link SO DONT unless you want a virus

All pages on the TPR depot are currently being worked on to remove any links to the Old .com site.
Just make sure you go to http://trainzproroutes.org/tprdownloads/index.php for the Depot
And http://www.trainzproroutes.org/forum/ for the Forum
Under no circumstances try and go to the old proroutes.com site
