You can purchase a subscription! I would prefer a model where you can purchase DLC, install and own, but - sadly in my opinion - this appears to be the future of Trainz.

And other programs as well at a much higher cost. Avid's Sibelius $255 a year for "support" and so-called "free upgrades". Autodesk software, Fusion is beyond what we can afford.

Adobe Creative Suite runs $25 a month if not more.

and there are so many others.

SAAS is the way everything is now and gone are the days of buying something, installing it and then putting it on the shelf for a later install from CD without having to log in to a server to keep the program active.

Yeah, that is why I dropped it. I have a $10 + tax plan for Photoshop and Lightroom. That seems fair to me since I use them daily.

My main issue with Tornado (and also the HST) being part of Trainz+ only is that they were shown in the marketing material for TRS22, and are part of the artwork you see in the launcher and on the loading screens. To not even see them be included as part of TRS22PE kinda hurts too, especially considering that the Blue Comet 2.0 was. But hey, if it really is that the DLC hadn't been finished yet, that's fine, I just hope that, when it is finished, it's added for free to people who own TRS22.
