Fresh install of TRS12 Trainsim, and let the patcher run 100% uninterrupted. Turn off your antivirus software. Set your computer to not even bring up the screen saver or go to standby or hibernate while doing so. Make sure, if you have any content you want to keep, to make a backup of your local folder. But Ive taken you out of the loop for now, you can all ways rejoin once you get your stuff working.
This means check the route order guys! Ive changed it up a little!
Also as of writhing this, no more new content maybe submitted for this month. If any one new joins us they'll have to wait until the end of May to use their own content. I dont want to have to keep making content packs every other day. its more work I have to do, its more you all have to download. I want to keep things easy. One pack for locomotives, one pack for rolling stock, and one pack for passenger cars.
Ken, as for your one car, 50ft Boxcar PENNSYLVANIA DD# plus ->kuid:522214:10007, I didn't see it in CMP, but Ill check again today. Ill be updating the consists files once more and re-uploading them. I might just send them to the DLS as well as a Google file. Sending them to the DLS means that I can update it on my end, and you guys can download it on your end with out problems.* But We'll see.
I hope to have our first session by next week. But only Ken has said what time wouldn't be best for him. I have only suggested Tuesdays and Thursdays. But I'd also like to point out that you can start sending trains at any time, so long as the people you are connected to are on. So if its Monday, and Ken and I are on. We could send trains to each other as we are connected. But if GN and I are on, I cant send him a train, because I am not connected to GN. The idea of having a day or two that we all get on is so that way we can see more trains moving about.
If you guys have ever hear of or played Freight Yard Manager, the idea is the same. If not, this video kinda shows what FYM is, and the basic concept there. Which is the same thing I am trying to replicate here.

My idea is two fold. First its a way to simulate the out side connections our favorite routes have to the rest of the world. For example, My route, the Saginaw Sub, runs form Toledo Ohio to Saginaw Michigan. And modeled in TRS12 is just that. But the rail line connects to other railroads. Cars can go from Chicago to Canada though my line. I dont have that track modeled though. So to simulate this, we have you guys and the iPortals. The iPortals will bring in products or take out products that would other wise not be loaded or unloaded on our routes.
The other is to repereset an organized modular model railroad. As I have said a few times now.
*It seams no matter what though, there are bound to be problems.
While my computer problems get sorted out. I have drawed out my new track plan. Great Video Jib. My guess is that my route just to build the track is around 2 - 5 days after i finish patching which could take 2 days. Also GN if you have it set to Automatically spawn trains while your offline and everything still work like your online... that is something I didn't know.
Questions:
-I'm Planning to build a classification Yard at one end or in the middle and eliminate two smaller yards?
-Also my siding are going to be 1 mile long just to hold everything or should they be longer or shorter?
-Also i was wondering if I have to update to SP1 or not?
Are we having a session tomorrow around 6PM EDST?
Everyone I bring Much needed Good news: In 4 hours and 15 minutes I have installed not 1 not 2 but all 5 patches. so construction will start as planned tomorrow or tonight.
You can say this makes me HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY![]()
There has been no official anouncment from JIb so probably not (unless he appears and say yes). I for one will not be available at 6pm if so more like 9pm.
I have been really busy the past few days. Im now 100% unemployed and have been running about trying to get a new job. Seeing as herding cats here has not paid me yet. All Ive asked for is what days would be best for every one. Seeing as Ken says Tuesdays are not the best I was thinking maybe Wednesdays and Sundays. I want long sessions, but I dont want to keep people up late on school nights or if they have to work in the morning.
Ill try and aim for having a solid time and a start time by this Friday, but I make no promises.
