Nice 158s Paul! *Quickly gets change out* lol. I'm not a Scotsman but I am part Scottish :). I've been there before, one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. Happy St. Andrews day! :)

What part of you is Scottish? Hehe.

Of course you can. Scotland is a different country from England and as I now live in Belfast, it's fine by me.

I already clocked those earlier in the week. I'm impressed you have the new standard Scottish livery which I think is a great idea from the executive. The plethora of liveries, a lot of them horrid looking, can be most confusing.

I'll be in touch but before I am, do you need loco numbers for these units or does that refer to the steamers on your site?

Cheers.

No the numbers are for steamers, the units come with user configurable numbers. The numbers selection was a hangover from the generic steam pages (Linda the webmaster only knows about Lionel trains LOL but she does try !!)

Those Scots ones are ScotRail (blue/white dots), 1st ScotRail Saltire(blue/red/white), SPT (orange/brown) or SPT2 (cream/maroon)

I also have one that is in NIR guise, with Paddy destinations !!

If you order 3 or more packs, then select another pack as a freebie (discounts dont work with PayPal)

Thanks Paul.

Only need the one pack but nice effort with the upselling there. I only do modern image myself.

I've done a few duff reskins of NIR stuff and uploaded them as there's so little out there, not that I use it myself. A few more are in the pipeline but as ever, it's a time thing. Order is on it's way.

Cheers.
Innis.

Was the new livery from the Executive or was it the idea of FirstScotrail? As for the Gaelic mentioned that was never the language of all Scotland at any time. I like the different dialects in Scotland. From here in Glasgow to the northeast where as a young man I found out confusingly that boys and girls were loons and quinies. Only found that out when a pal and I wnet into a shoe shop in Peterhead and one shop assistant was serving a customer and the other up a ladder putting boxes away. The one serving shouted up to her associate "Aw, Jeanie come doon and serve they twa' loons staunin' there." The girl came down the steps and came over and said "Are you the loon wantin' served." Rather peeved at my intelligence being challeneged, I told her she was a bit cheeky suggesting I was off my head but she looked puzzled at that. It was only afterwards I found out what a loon was.

With pfx now over in Belfast the deep Belfast accent is as jarring as the more coarser blends of Glaswegian! Anyway pfx, it is good to see NIR livery here and more to come you say? I will plod on with my Ulster railway build so that they have somewhere to run! Presently I am (computer-wise) working between Carrickfergus and Whitehead on the project. Would really like to reach the end of the Larne Line this month.

Hi rj.

The new livery is on the instruction of the Executive. They've decided that all operators in Scotchland must use it. Even SPT Carmine and Cream is going! Quite a good idea in my opinion, though the SPT livery has to be my favourite UK one at present.

Ho, hooooooo, I'm sure my wife would be delighted to hear her accent described as jarring! I think it depends very much on the area you're in. Just like the inhabitants of Kelvinside don't sound like they're from Glasgow.

Factoid, the largest Gaelic speaking community in Scotland is actually in Glasgow.

Yes, I've a few other items in the pipeline, a DART set being one, and a, a, I can't remember if it's 156 or 153 or what. Anyway, whatever it is in NIR livery.

On the Gaelic, it is a reducing language with slightly less that 50,000 speakers but as I said it was never the of the whole country! Yes, it does depend on where in Glasgow you live regarding the local lingo. Some comedian once retorted eons ago that Kelvinside was all fur coats and nae knickers. and remember they put coal in sexs around there. I can recall an American telling me that he was next to two Glaswegians blethering away next to him in a cafe and he hadn't a clue what they were saying He just kept nodding and smiling! As for the jarring thing that too depends where in Belfast just as here.

Pity in a way re the PTE livery. I remember the blue trains as they were commonly known in the Strathclyde PTE then the orange was bright and cheery. And you remember and keep that NIR railbus in the queue if you want to drive trains on the eventual NIR being worked on here (!). Now heading towards Whitehead on the Larne Line build.

ps Barn700 - some nice looking items there. Greetings from the northern part of the Kingdom. Long time no hear over there in the Ex-Colonies.

Yes I keep reminding these over here they were ex-colonies !!! Dont get much response though.

I always say we gave up America as we were more bothered about the French only 22 miles away at the time !!

I do miss the square sausage though

Square sausage!!!!!!!! My kingdom for a square sausage. Don't get it here either. The closest thing is a strange meat thing called vegetable roll. Not wholly unpleasant but it's no square sausage.

I thought a haggis was a square sausage!. Although I have to admit I never have really understood the strange culture up there. But then again I should do as Scotland is the oldest English colony

Bill:hehe:

I think he is refering to the Lorne Sausage, a sort of sausage meatloaf, cut into slices and fried. Not sure whether it's of Irish or Scottish origin though.
