Tips on importing TANE routes?

Hi, all.
If I wanted to import / run a couple of my TANE routes in TRS19 - what tips and cautions can you experienced users give me? Both platforms are running SP4.
Thanks much!
Ron

I have imported two of my TANE routes, one with 13 sessions, into TRS19 and now Trainz Plus and it went OK.

A helpful hint is make sure that you have installed the free DLC package "Additional TANE Assets for TRS19".

Hi Ron,

Create a CDPs of your route and session you want to transfer in TANE Content Manager.

Open up TRS19 Content Manager and import them.

You may have missing dependencies...

Right-click and download anything you can. For remaining assets, you will have to go back to TANE and export those to a CDP, but this will not work for DLC or built-in assets.

EDIT: pware got in ahead because of my slow typing. He pointed out the extra TANE content I was going off to research and forgot to mention initially.

Thanks, guys. Sounds easy enough. My comp is just on the edge of wanting to run TRS19 smoothly. We'll see how it goes.

Hmmm - I am not finding this package searching for those words. Any hints? Thx.

Type "491" in the search box in the content store and it should pop up.

In the Content Store from the TRS19 Launcher. Type "Additional TANE" in the text entry box at the top, this will filter the list. Scroll down. When you see it click "Install".

Be aware that if you run Tane DLC/DLS sessions in '19 you will likely have times of dissappointment. A number of sessions don't work properly in '19. I continue to run most Tane routes/sessions in Tane even though I have TRS19 and '22. You will also likely need to reset "environment" colors for things to look right. There are also issues with saving a game session and restarting it so plan on driving sessions to completion in one setting. That's my experience here anyway....

For the built-ins and DLC, there's not much you can do, but for your own routes and sessions I find opening them and saving them again even with no changes other than moving something to initiate a save will actually help. My busy Gloucester Terminal Electric got squirrelly when I first imported it, but after saving in TRS19 it runs fine. I do the same after all service pack updates as well as I find that is a similar situation.
