Growing up with thomas since the first episode aired, i think that the animated faces ruin the show...

The faces ruin the show? The new characters they introduced are about the only thing that DIDN'T ruin the show!

And just WHY did they paint all the NG locos different colours? Stuart and Falcon (Peter Sam and Sir Handel) were green and blue on their original railway, granted, but they were painted red when they were brought to the Skarloey railway...

Until they bring Billy Connoly as voice of Donald and Douglas, and change that rediculous theme song back to what it was, I am so not interseted. They have modernised Thomas the Tank Engine for the sake of progress, and that is unforgiveable. Bring back the Thomas that the Hon. Reverend Wilbur Awdry would have wanted: the Original!:'(

Uggg My boy is thomas CRAZY i like the old format with the models and it was like reading a book..CGI has gone to far I saw an article about george lucas he was standing in a room with 100 or so modelss he used for starwars 1976 or so then one of him in front of a green screen for the last starwars movie....was sad to see thats all they need nowdays,models just look better.

For me, it's different with the Star Wars movies. For them, I'll take the CGI hands-down. Sure the models were cool, but the CGI just looks better, especially compared to the puppets and stop-motion stuff. Not to mention the inherent artifacts of that era's special effects techniques(ugh... garbage matte!
).As for Thomas, well, it's a little iffy...
But it's the other aspects of the show that bother me now. Maybe the series may benefit from the Tim Burton style!:hehe:G'day! :wave:
It's a horrible idea. HiT has killed the Thomas series... The CGI faces make T&F look horrid. Even the railway looks animated. I have sent letters to HiT telling them CGI looks horrible on Thomas but no replies... :'(

I have been watching thomas since i was about 2 and it has lead to my fasanation with trains (encludeing trainz 
) now at the age of 13 i still watch it but i never venture out of ringo stars naration cause i feel he adds a nice bed time story feeling when you lisern to it.
Hit has totaly ruined thomas thay have made it Cgi to stay in keep with modern kids shows like chuginton but along with it condemed the old thomas to the scrap heap shale we say... :hehe:
