In TS12, create a map with a length of track, placed in route layer.
Switch to session layer -make a new layer - Layer A and place a Consist A on the track. Hide Layer A
Make a new layer - Layer B and place a Consist B in a different position on the track, not overlapping.
With Layer A still hidden go to Quickdrive.
Drive Consist B towards the position of Consist A. As soon as B meets the hidden A, A becomes visible and is coupled to B.
Is this normal behaviour? I have always believed that layers were 'untouchable' when switched off. It appears that I was wrong. I had hoped to be able to make a session with a varying 'cast' of rolling stock where layer selection in Surveyor would determine the 'scene' in Driver.
Comments, please?
