Yes, that one. And no, I don't need broken glass. I just need a old building, not one that's in shambles.

Well I finally got an upload through and it's that engine house you wanted, I was down yesterday and had to restore my Trainz Folders from my server.

So, If you lucky 2 days of school, 2 days off....you can find the time to play arround. It just keeps raining so I've had the last 3 days off. It's making up for not raining until all the crops went down in flames.

Started working on them steel bridge supports. I just super-sized my square trestle chunk and reskinned it. Next step size it up. As you can see there will be 2 versions one for low deck bridges like mine, and Maddy25s Warren Truss. Same Truss work just one set at a different height...a twofor. SO...it should work with 60% of the bridges out there, but the colors with match mine the best, and it's gonna be a beast. If you notice that old picture, that's a lot of steel for a little train. That's because the average ore car weighs as much as a dump truck. Hauling powdered steel they are...if the cars were larger, they'd burst the side wall out.I took that into account with my Bridge Track, pictures I've seen show every thing "built UP" strong...it has the extra ties in it to keeps the cars from falling through the bridge, it happened a few times, then they got smart.Uploaded with ImageShack.us

See it set up for this bridge first.

Then after it's done I'll make a copy, then raise the model up, then save it and two bridge supports. This one is gonna be a tall one...145' in height no problemo for these supports.

Speaking of problemo...there arn't any good 3 track bridges out there, is there a need for one? It's a couple hours work tops, just strech it out and throw in another track base. Now, just because I said that don't throw a 6 track bridge at me...but it could be done. Even cocking them bridge supports on a 45 instead of a 90 makes a lot of sense. Why hasn't that been done?

There that looks closer to right. The structure is about 18' tall and runs from the shore line out to the light house. Rivers where I come from as they enter the lake have a pier on both sides of the rivers mouth. The one that has the superstructure on it goes out to the Lighthouse. It just ain't a Great Lake without one of them. This pier was scaled up using a google earth image, wana take a walk out to the light house? image removed.

Visually I am having a hard time accepting this structure. What's to prevent those supports from folding like a lawn chair? I'm not trying to be too picky, but wouldn't there be cross members or some type of bracing diagonally?

If anything it's still a little big....double wide. It's not like a buch of tourists are gonna walk on that thing for weight, it's for the poor bugger to go out and change the light bulb when you got 20fters comming in. You dont want much up there for the waves to hit, they'll rip it right off the Peir. Small its good, narrow is good. Opposite of Ore Cars on a Trestle.

See it's easier to carry a light bulb out there then to swim one out there. IF anything it's a tad big and the lighthouse ain't fat enough. I'll keep shearching now that I got a photo in my file, but this is 400 miles south, but that's where I been fishing this summer.... Lot'sa water, and you can drink it all.

How much does a bottle of water cost? There's at least 52.5 gazillion of them out there.

I uploaded that 1 track plate girder bridge yesterday, but then I noticed a paint flaw. A noticible repetition on the ribs, picked this up when I was working on the steel bridge support.

It's since been fixed on all my 2 track bridges, Oh yes I have a new one.

YR Bridge Plate Girder 2 Track. I also bombed the entire route deleting intersections, crossings, paint, trees that I was not going to use, and were too time consuming to find. I was getting tired of playing where's waldo. And just opened it up and said delete all missing content. So it's clean. again.

This is the new 2 Track Plate showing all the fixed painting. So all bridges will be getting another update.

I also found a picture to model that steel bridge support after. This is the Upper Harbor Ore Dock approach. Ah, there is a method to the maddness. That plate deck looks a lot like mine, except It looks like I need a 4 Track Bendy Bridge to make the connection....just looking for a good photo and haven't found it yet. So if somebody has one could you please pass it along here.

From what I could tell and I found another picture....it starts out as a 2 track plate, then that splits out to the Ore Dock. I was able to get there by using my new 2 track plate, then wipping up a new Super duper Bendy 1 track Plate with just Fence on one side.

Well this should make it one step better.

Snapped on a Google Earth Image of the Ore Dock Deck, and lined the track to it..........., as you notice my single sided track with fence on just one side lines up with the outside edge of the Ore Dock. Custom Plate Deck, Custon Fexible Plate Track, and Custom Ore Dock. It's Beer 30! LOL!Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Spoke too soon.

The Ore Dock Trestle needs to be moved foward the witdth of a fence rail, and go down by as much and so does the track.

But It's still Beer 30....and yes Euphod I'm re-doing the Pier...and it will look like the one I look at once a week.

Back in from the Fire Pit.

And looking at this track situation again. I'm gonna keep working this track, the 2 Track Plate, and the Super Dupper Bendy one Track Plate because I think a lot of folks would like to make this type of connection. I'm going to have to tweek the 1 track some more but here is whats going on.

2 Track Plate w/railings...to 1 Track Plate Super Bendy w/1 railing....to 2 Track Plate w/railing. junctioned to 1 Track Plate Super Bendy w/1 railing....to 2 Track Plate w/railing....to 1 Track Plate Super Bendy w/1 railing....to Ore Dock.

The 1 Track Super Bendy w/1 railing is getting layed in one direction, with the railing on the right, then comming back on the left. It creates a two track. I'm really close to getting the alignment perfect. And I will upload these assets to the community. I will however be able to say this, without adoubt I will change the wood color on all the bridges I'm working on here.

This is what I'm talking about.

I'm going to work out the remaing issues in height, width, placement, paint and so forth so that everybody can use them.

Here's another combination. 1 Track Plate w/rails, to super bendy 1 Track Plate w/1 rail, to 2 Track Plate w/rails. I've just about got these 3 item ready for upload. It really makes for nice elevated track when used in combinations.

Well it's all lined up and ready to go. Doesn't matter which direction you lay this...backwards, forward, this one with that one, that one with that one...it's lined up. Look at the center railing comming together in the center. I figure this stuff would really work good for an elevated railway...like the Loop.

When these hit the Download Station next week how about you give them Plates a Chicago Coat of Paint? Try it anyway and let me know how difficult it is. If it works out good go ahead and release a Windy City Plate Series. The paint pattern repeats at ever plate brace. The 1 Track and 2 Track bridges are a 3 plate long spline, and the Super Dupper Bendy is just 1 plate in length, and it's track not a bridge...ie the Deck Plate is the Ballast so to speak.

Now on to the Ore Dock Track....look at this............PIG!
