For the last several months, I've been waiting for the arrival of TS2010 so that I could continue in this passion of Trainz. I'll even admit that the last few weeks I've been silently cursing the mailman for not delivering it fast enough.
Then reality intruded and put things in perspective. First, my wife lost her aunt. The lady was up and about last Sunday morning writing letters, went out for a breath of fresh air and was getting ready to watch some movies with her daughter. Then she coughed, had a heart attack and died. Second, on Christmas eve, my mom collapsed at home, was rushed to the hospital and is now in intensive care (cardiac). She is stable for now but the doctors still testing.
We often make a joke with new Trainzers to forget about friends, family etc. and that Trainz will become an all consuming passion.
Let us remember that it is only a joke and should never be taken seriously. Her aunt's family never had a second chance to say "I love you" and I had a warning.
Enjoy Trainz but don't confuse it with the really important things in life. Happy Holidays, no matter which ones you celebrate.
