The QUEBEC CENTRAL RAILWAY, prototypical route of 1957

I would never use Billboard trees. A step backward IMHO. I know that Pofig's wonderful trees don't work in T:ANE but I'm pretty sure there are other options.
Hi Dave, Bilboard trees are for the ''transfer'' from ts2012 which I have to replace Pofig's trees with any tree that will show up in T:ANE, then after that I will replace bilboard trees with 3d trees when I find nice ones which seems to be McGuirel's or maybe Jankvis's ....but they are not officially available actually.

That looks great, but the engine is off to me. I see a coal tender, but an oil fired backhead.

Rock On!

Hi Dusten, you are a real steam lover we all know ! To say shortly, I made a reskin of K&L Trainz's WP TP-29 4-6-0 which is an oil burner but I am using the tender of CN 2-8-0 which was a coal burner...so that is the explanation. On the QCR all engine were coal fired till their retirement in 1960.
Cheers,
Pierre

Dang, never thought I'd see the day when one of Ben Dorsey's coaches could compare to Brian's boxcars. TANE - and your work - is visually way better than I give credit for. Good work.

(I'd recommend you find a new caboose...in my opinion, it looks kind of dated even in TANE)

Looking real good Pierre! The shots are all great but I like the third one best where you can see the boy and his dog high above the train. The last shot is very nice also with that big sun shining. You must be very busy getting everything working in Tane. We haven't seen anything in your thread for a while.

Cheers,
Jack

Thanks for your comments guys. Well, how to say...........to be honest T:ANE makes me sick....getting fed up with this unfinished plenty of bug product. I'm really hoping for patches sooner. It has great possibilties but actually the frustration gets over all of this.....
Cheers!
Pierre

Pierre,

i concur what other post you have done and do very well!
The last shot in post #123 is for sure one of those you have to remember as one of your best.
Keep up the good work and do not try to jump over your own shadow it vansihes when trying (in T:ANE) .
BTW I did not see that feauture yet but rebuild dbase and or reset shadows in launcher etc will do the job.

Have a nice sunday and yes T:ANE works better than many trainzers might give the impression otherwise.
Check your cache and ram available it might be the one that takes the wind out of the sails and makes the sessions a lame duck or worse.
T:ANE is hungry for memory almost obese hahaha and not eat healthy and gets constipated by times.:hehe:.
Before we had the draw limit now we have those that crash because memory limit, will be tuned and solved for sure no doubt about that.

What I found out, but still doesn't know why, is when I take a screenshot INGAME (T:ANE) with shadows enabled, the shadows are not reproduced in the game's screenshot folder but are there if I paste my latest shot in Infranview. Weird ?...definately. Another bug ? Probably.

Piere,

now i see what you mean the shadows are gone.
No they are not gone rotate in your route and look from the other side at and see the full shadow will be seen. I saw this already in the first relaese with speedtrees not sure other trees as i not use others. N3V knows this.

Hi Pierre. You might be getting a headache or two working with Tane but the screenshots look awesome! That's another beauty you've posted.

Cheers,
Jack

Pierre, those are nice screenshots. Good job on the water coming down the hill in the TS12 shot. It looks very realistic.
Are both screenshots of the same location on your route? You've done a good job with getting it into Tane so far.

Have a good day,
Jack

Pierre, I have though about doing the same thing with K&L 4-6-0 placing a coal tender behind her as I am not much of a fan of oil burners. Also I understand your frustration with TANE, I have given up for now myself until they do some major bug fixes.

Thanks Jack. Yes it is the same location. The house on T:ane's shot has been placed after the shot taken in TS12 (the house is where the black spot in front of the red barn).

So, Ken, lets celebrate our frustration together :'(
