To whoever said British steam locos are ugly - would you care to back that claim up with some sort of evidence? :)

Here are my two personal favourites:

LieLestoSbrat's BR Rebuilt Merchant Navy

PacificSeven's LNER Lord Claude Hamilton

Its nice to see this thread still going. All nice locos, especially anything that Lielestosbrat comes up with!

Here are a couple that are among my favourites at the moment:

Apologies for the coaches behind the 018, I have to redownload something a bit more appropriate.

Cheers

Can someone please tell me what KUID the smoke for the original loco (the Renfe) is, or how to replace the smoke on all the other steamers with this one? Thanx!

.......

The "La Maquinista Terrestre y Marítima" company commemorated its centenary in 1955 with the release of these engines.
Nevertheless, these locomotives were the swan song of the steam traction in Spain. Quickly the new electrifications and dieselisations relegated them to freight services for which they were not projected. Only the 2009 (with the 2002's tender) survived scrapping. Magnificently recovered, conserved now in the Delicias (Madrid) headquarters of the Spanish Museo del Ferrocarril, it serves in historical and tourist trains.

Thank you for this locomotive. The last examples were in use at Miranda de Ebro - I got there just too late to see them actually working, in September 1974, although they were still on shed.

Your model is the next best thing for me!

Looking forward to seeing some of the older RENFE 4-8-0s from you guys in the future.

Mark

It is not difficult.

Copy file humoCONFEDERADA.tfx from kuid:206245:2009 folder and paste in of loco folder you want.

Find in config.txt on loco you want, the tag of smoke helper point. Usually it is smoke0 tag and helper point name is a.smoke0, but they can be other.

Some as this:

smoke0 {
attachment "a.smoke0"
mode "speed"
color 10,10,10,255
accel 0,0,-0.2
start 0,2,4,6
rate 20,0,0,0
velocity 3,0,0,0
lifetime 1,0,0,0
minsize 0.2
maxsize 1.5,0,0,0
}

Replace tag with (you must use former tag and helper point names if they are not not smoke0 and a.smoke0)

smoke0 {
attachment "a.smoke0"
mode "stack"
file "humoCONFEDERADA.tfx"
color 0,0,0,0
enabled 1
inherit-velocity 0.0
scale 0.98
}

Save.

That´s all.

I must notice that, because it is "stack" mode, with some enginespec these smoke effect can be not very impressive...

Sorry my bad English.

Javier.-

Javier, I looked for that kuid on the dls (206245:2009) and it's not there. Where can I find it? I'd like to try the tranfer to some American Steam Machines.

It's not on the DLS that kuid is the spanish steam locomotive this whole thread is based on...

@ Matt, thanks :) I hope to finish it one day but it certainly won't be soon, got too much on at the moment!

I missed the tender too, but I found it a bit away from the loco in the list of locos, so you have to scroll around a little...

Thanks JB, I didn't think to look at the obvious. What's that quote: "Can't see the forest because of the trees"?
