The Laurel Line Revisited

I can see you've been busy here. ;)

Some bushes, or maybe hedges as 'crowd control' where people have to queue for attractions will be nice. Also some textures where the grass is slightly gone and the soil comes through on places where onlookers tend to stand and watch some of the rides would work well, I think.

All in all, it looks quite convincing allready.

Greetings from nighttime Amsterdam,

Jan

I don't like clowns but I do love awesome routes and this is one awesome route!

Stunning shots, but that point needs some grade-adjusting there :o

Sweetness LWVRR... looking good!!!

I forgot to mension, when I was going for my interview years ago with NABISCO the mountains of slag struck me. I see a mountain on one side and coal slag on the other. According to the locals they found a use for it. I have not been in the area for about 7~8 years so don't know what it is like now.

Today, most of the culm banks have been removed but there are still a few more around. This area still shows the signs from generations of mining. Most of these areas are left vacant because of mine subsidence. Just look for the areas covered in trees and that has coal colored ground.

Another new trolley has arrived on the Laurel Line. The LL 1904 combination trolley car by Jananton. Here we see it pulling out of the Scranton Station loop.

All I can say is wow!

I second that "WOW!"

I'm not all that familiar with the Laurel Line (other than the section Electric City runs over), but never the less, having worked around electrics and interurbans, I have become a fan of 'em, and your route and interurbans are most impressive. You are really catching the era of interurbans dead on.

Here is the finished scene from Rocky Glen Amusement Park. There are still a few spots open on the fairground for any model I might find that will fit into the scene. If anybody knows of any rides or buildings that might fit in the park, please let me know. What's next? I'm not really sure. I think I'm going to re-acquaint myself with the Blender program and I'll go from there.

I guess this picture could go in different places here but since I haven't posted here for a while, I'll post it here.
Work is continuing (slowly) on my version of the DL&W Scranton Station. Here is the first render shot from Blender. I still have the first floor to work on and I need to add about a zillion more windows...well, that's what it seems like!

It's getting there. I'd like to give you an update on the Luzerne County Courthouse that is being made for the LL Project, but I haven't heard from the person that's building it in about month and a half. It looks like I'll eventually be putting my skills to the test to make that building too.
