I would dearly love to add a couple of coal mines and an extra power station to the route,I tried to extend the Newark line in the Nottingham direction but the programme crashed for some reason despite the fact that there is a power station listed on the "navigate to" list,any advice would be most welcome

Hi

Have you cloned the route before adding anything to it? As the route is built in you can't save any changes that are made to the route layer. Once you have a cloned route you will be able to change that in any way that you wish. I have a number of routes made from the ECML such as Peterborough to KX, Doncaster to KX and York to KX. If you do cut the route down make sure that you save regularly as it seems to crash if you delete too many boards at once. These shorter routes have been made to get improved performance when using the route on my laptop.

My idea is to concentrate on the middle section of the route ,Newark northwards to Doncaster ,I would extend the line through Worksop and on to Mansfield and beyond incorporating coal mines and power stations,any hints ?

How about building it correctly with gradients etc based around 1976 and I could add it to the ECML route for all to use ?

I have basemaps covering Worksop to Hucknall but they were made for Trainz 2006 ,I attempted to add them to TRS 2010 but although the landscape seemed to form correctly the maps were only part visible and seemed to be the wrong place ?
