The Frisco High Line

No. It's the Clinton sub. Read through the very first post of this thread for a little background on the Frisco High Line.

GP7's were commonly seen in passenger service on the High Line. This is train #20 northbound leaving Vista, Mo a few minutes late.

Thanks to bnsf50 for these great whistle posts signs! He modeled these perfectly following actual SLSF plans.

Your attention to detail along with all custom content you and Deane have collaborated on make this one incredible route!

Thanks. Dean's assets can make a great route builder out of anyone. I'm glad you mentioned the detail. I'd like to add even more detail at some point. Sometimes I wonder if some of my shots are worthy of posting until I have more details in place. Honestly if I waited until I was completely satisfied I'd never post anything. :o

+1 well spoken GNdome55. A fantastic job dricketts:cool: this is one route I look forward to. Is it close to release?

I wouldn't call it close though I continue to make steady progress.

The SLSF portion is about 80 miles alone and the MKT portion is about 15 miles. I'd like it to include a lot of details and those take time. There are 9 smaller towns and one larger town, Clinton. I've made good progress with all the towns but there is still a lot land between these destinations. These areas of the route need more than a basic texture and some strategically placed trees.

Derrick, Would you mind if I asked where that John-Deere green MKT boxcar in your last screenie came from? looks like it's RGCX's doing, but I can't be sure.

Sure no problem. I'm thinking it was from someone else but I'll double check when I get home from work. Send me a pm to remind me or I'll forget. By the way did you make it to the train show in the American Royal buidling last weekend? I was going to check it out and then completely forgot about it when the weeken finally rolled around.

If only there was a smack-yourself-in-the-face smiley...

I kinda did the same thing, except I didn't know it was even in town! however, I was busy all weekend, so even if I would have known, I don't think I'd have been able to get down there anyway. Plus, since it's nigh impossible for me to get out of there without buying something, it's probably best i didn't go anyway :hehe: (Oh, how I loathe the lack of space for a layout!)

It's too bad all the boxcar models I've run across in Trainz use the same door for each side. That means if you place the "K" correctly on one side, then it's reversed on the other. That's why I never made the MKT green box shown here. The creator of this one chose to skip the door entirely, solving the reverse textures problem, and creating one of inaccurate skinning instead.

Two GP15-1's lead a Frisco train through Vista, Mo.

Crossing state Hwy V in Vista, Mo. This was one of the few crossings on the High Line that was protected by automatic flashing lights and bells.

The lead unit passes the very small passenger depot in Vista.

Passing a scrap yard on the south side of town. Rumor has it there's still an old SLSF boxcar hidden on this property to this day.

Man, these screen shots are making me homesick. You are truly an artist of exceptional talent.
