The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

Please don't use imageshack

Okay, stop smoking and no longer use imageshack. Things I'll do this year! :hehe: But great imagination, had indeed had other things in mind than Verdun.

Well, there have sure been a lot of steam screenies here the last while. Very nice work Ken, Christian and Pierre!!
Ken, thanks for the info on that texture.

Here's some steam action east of Bradwell. A good day to just sit in the boat and relax!
Cheers, Jack

Nice shot Ken. Looks rather like the prairies and that old baggage car looks great.

Terrific shots as always Erik!

Haven't had much time for Trainz lately. Here's an eastbound.
Cheers, Jack

Folks;

I remain truly impressed by the quality of the screen shots posted here.
I post three today to show off the newest creation from K&L Trainz. Herewith the T1a Selkirk (non streamlined). It comes in two versions; one with snow plow and the other without. All three are taken at The Stoney Creek Bridge.
All three shots were taken in TAN:E Build 84204. The route is my 'conversion' of Roy's Trainz CPR Mountain Sub from TS12 to TAN:E. Sadly, the TAN:E route suffers from being missing most of pofig's trees. My conversion is incomplete and will remain so.

The Rocky Mounyains are indeed awe inspiring!

I have been busy with other pursuits and will be getting back to Trainz eventually.
Cheers and all of you please keep posting shots.

Hi Michael, Nice shot from you and thanks for this new loco !!!! RMM trees is a good alternative to Pofig's trees search for content st_rmm .

Ken,.....as always, great pics !
Pierre

Ken, very nice screen shots from you again. I especially like the black and white shot. You're work is always impressive.

A big thank you from myself as well, Michael. I've got to get over to K&L one of these days. That is a very fine looking engine. I found pictures of them running on the prairies so they won't look too out of place on the route I'm doing.

Cheers, Jack

Bonjour Pierre;
You are most welcome on both counts.

I do know about rmm's trees. Here is my problem; and I only mention it in case someone has figured out a way a better way to solve it.
The route in question has 128 of these: "<unknown asset> ... <kuid:429786:100473>" The way I started to fix was to:
1. paste the kuid into the Content Search filter of an open TS12 route which has all the rmm trees in nice, neat rows,
2. I look in the Forum thread (pofig, rmm Tree names) and see if there is a match. (It only rarely helps) An alternate is to use the Search Filter to select on height.
3. when I have found a match, the editor is applied to both assets. (If you know what I'm doing, good. If you don't I'm not going to tell you).
This can take from 80 to 120 minutes per tree, or 2 to 3 months to fix someone else's payware route.
/criticism on
If N3V had done a proper job on the Bulk Asset Replace/update ... tool, it would allow users to replace Faulty Assets with ones which aren't.
/criticism off
My solution was to create 3 routes, using TransDEM, where each route seamlessly connects to each adjacent route. This took about 2 weeks.
I am not going to work on these routes until the next version of TAN:E, on the chance that N3V will move to SpeedTree V7 or V8 as I have enough work ahead of me finishing The Kettle Valley Railroad and CPR BC East.

I can't babble on without showing a little respect to the Thread...
